Topkapi Palace, located in Sarayburnu, Istanbul, is a historical palace that served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire and the residence of the sultans for 400 years between the 15th and 19th centuries.
Built by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror between 1460 and 1478, the palace now serves as a museum and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1985.
