The Holy Relics of Topkapi Palace are items belonging to the companions of Muhammad and some prophets, considered sacred in Islam. Brought to Istanbul after Yavuz Sultan Selim's conquest of Egypt in 1517, some were also collected from other Islamic countries. They are preserved and displayed in the Hırka-i Saadet Chamber of the Topkapi Palace's Has Oda (Private Chamber).
The artifacts displayed in the hall include: the Hırka-i Saadet (Sacred Cloak), the hilt of the sword of the Prophet Muhammad, the case of the Black Stone, the golden chest in which the Hırka-i Şerif (Sacred Cloak) is kept, the golden water spout of the Kaaba, the Key of the Kaaba, one of the doors of the Kaaba, a model of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Hırka-i Saadet Chamber, a model of the Prophet's Mosque in the Hırka-i Saadet Chamber, the footprint of Prophet Muhammad, soil from the grave of Prophet Muhammad, and other items. The Seal of Muhammad, the arrows and swords of Prophet Muhammad, the beard of Prophet Muhammad (Sakal-ı Şerif), the letter sent by Prophet Muhammad to the false prophet, the bow of Prophet Muhammad, the hilt of the Prophet's sword, and the swords of the Companions of the Prophet.
