Kartepe is connected to Kocaeli, the highest altitude is 1699 meters. It lies in the middle of Izmit and Sapanca. You can see the perfect view of Sapanca Lake along Kartepe road. Kartepe ski center has a snow thickness of 80cm and occasionally 2m. Kartepe İstanbula is 1 hour, Ankara is 4 hours and Sabiha Gökçen airport is 80 km.
